April 2024: Important News Update

We are excited to share what’s been going on at The Lebanon Veterinary Hospital.  As you may know, we are OUT of space!   We also see that pets are living longer so they require even more care than they used to!  We have partnered with local specialists, Pieper Veterinary, to help us grow.  Pieper Veterinary has been around since 1937 and is family operated, like us, but they offer everything from primary care, to urgent, emergency and specialty care.  Dr. Z and Susan’s own little guy, Binx, was their patient when he herniated a disk and their amazing neurosurgery team gave him his life back!  We knew then, they were special to us and wanted to meet them!

After many months and discussions, we decided that we could help each other.  Since Pieper is the premier go-to place in CT and we were already taking on Urgent Care in this part of the state, Pieper thought they could help us.  Since some emergency needs can be caught early with excellent wellness care, they agreed with us that it made sense to expand our wellness capabilities too.

LVH is thrilled to announce that together with Pieper, we are expanding our hospital AND addressing our parking issues and we will now utilize the house in front of the barn; 4,000 square feet for wellness care, 5 exam rooms-with one designated for our feline friends who prefer a dog-free zone, an area for end of life or nutritional consultations, acupuncture and yes, back by popular demand-a large reception and waiting room area! We were listening!

The Pieper partnership will be invisible to you in that our wonderful doctors and staff are all still here and ready to help! Leo, our office cat and occasional blood donor/kitten saver, will still be here to greet you!  What will change is that now, our staff will get to have even more training and education because Pieper has dedicated resources and opportunities for us to be able to learn from their emergency and surgical centers. Our doctors and staff can’t wait to bring their new skills back and put them to use for the benefit of your pets!

Please pardon some dust and a little noise while we work away making this new facility everything your pet wants and needs for a wellness visit OR urgent care center! We look forward to seeing you there!
